EastEnders’ Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer) arrived in Walford with her husband Gray (Toby Alexander Smith) last month.
The EastEnders cast member is the daughter of Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) and Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths), who also have Keegan (Zack Morris) together.
But while Chantelle’s drama has been with Denise and Kim Fox (Diane Parrish and Tameka Epson) about their hairdressing salon, it looks like Chantelle could hiding a very dark secret.
After watching Chantelle and Gray interact, fans have been speculating Chantelle could be the victim of a horrific domestic abuse plot.
One fan posted: “Chantelle looks terrified every time Gray talks.”
Another added: “When are we going to see Chantelle and Gray alone together?! There better not be a domestic violence story for those two. I don’t want to see another character abused on this show for at least another year, especially another woman.”
A third asked: “Why haven’t we seen Chantelle and Gray in their home? Weird…”
A fourth wrote: “I have a weird feeling Gray is going to be the next serial kiler…”
Is Chantelle secretly being abused by her husband?
Meanwhile, her half-brother Keanu (Danny Walters) got himself in hot water as he tried to rescue his ex Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper) from a kidnapping plot.
After Keanu managed to stop Louise being trafficked to Romania, they later reunited.
Last night’s episode saw the pair sleep together after Keanu admit he thought he was in love with Louise.
