Ryan Thomas’ soap star pals rally around him and say he’ll win Celebrity Big Brother after Roxanne Pallett ‘punch’ claims

Emmerdale's Danny Miller and Coronation Street actor Antony Cotton have joined the legion of stars publicly criticising the actress, 35, who stormed out of the house on Friday night.

His former colleagues said Roxanne's "plan backfired" and the public will carry him to the final – to win the show.

Antony, 43, tweeted: "I don’t know how on earth @ryanjamesthomas has done this.

"What a dignified and graceful gentleman he’s grown up to be. He’s been my little brother for 15 years and I’m very, very proud of him.

"Her plan backfired, and Ryan will fly through now and win the whole goddam thing #cbb"

Danny, 27, wrote: "Good to see that smile and more so, that famous Thomas laugh tonight. Seems to be light at the end of the tunnel for our @ryanjamesthomas buzzing for him! Onwards and upwards Ry.. #CBB"

It comes after The Sun Online revealed that 20 Emmerdale stars turned on Roxanne.

One of the first to share their thoughts was Charley Webb, who plays Debbie Dingle, in the soap, and who crossed paths with Roxanne when she played Jo Sugden from 2005 to 2008.

She wrote: "It’s worrying that someone is allowed to say that about someone and they’re taking it seriously. We’ve just watched it and nothing happened. Outrageous. #BB"

Her former co-star Sammy Winward also gave her opinion on the "play fighting".

The Katie Sugden actress shared another of Charley's tweets and added: "It’s been a long time coming."

It has since been revealed that Celebrity Big Brother bosses asked Roxanne if she wanted to call cops on Ryan.

But she decided not to get the police involved following talks on Friday and later quit the show in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A TV source said: “Roxanne sat down with producers on Friday and they discussed all the possible courses of action she could take.

“She was still adamant Ryan had hit her and that it was a really serious incident, despite what everyone has seen on camera."
