Ruth Langsford hits out at jealous Piers Morgan after This Morning beats Good Morning Britain at the NTAs – The Sun

Piers, 53, was caught on camera looking stony faced as This Morning beat GMB in the Daytime category at last night's ceremony.

He joked: "I think we were robbed. I think the election was rigged.

"I think the Russians were involved somehow. Donald Trump is almost certainly to blame for this."

Speaking to The Sun as she celebrated This Morning's win, Ruth, 58, said: "I think there's a touch of a green-eyed monster there."

Piers ranted about the loss on Good Morning Britain today and reference Ant and Dec's win despite Ant McPartlin's absence from TV over the past year.

He said: "It just shows all you have to do is have the worst year of your career.
"You walk the dog all year and then you get presenter of the year. What are we doing here?"

Ruth's husband and co-presenter Eamonn Holmes, 59, also made a surprising confession about This Morning's new Sunday show, which features highlights from the week – calling it a "rehash".

He admitted: "It's like Phil's food, it's a rehash of the same stuff, served up warm. That's what we do.

"There was a nice slot in the market for Sundays and it seems to have gone down very well. It's This Morning's best bits and long may those best bits continue."
