Robbie Williams and Ayda Field ban talk of X Factor at home to prevent spats

Robbie and Ayda Williams have X-terminated all talk of their show off-screen to keep their marriage sweet.

Keen not to let their screen battles spill into family life, the couple have agreed not to discuss The X Factor when they get home.

They became the first married couple to judge the ITV talent show together and have provided many entertaining moments with their rivalry.

Ex-Take That star Robbie, 44, is mentoring the groups, while actress and presenter Ayda looks after the Overs – contestants who are older than 28.

They may have raised eyebrows over some minor on-screen disagreements, but sources say they will not let it affect their home life.

“Robbie and Ayda love working together but it’s just a small part of their busy lives and they don’t want to end up only talking about work or letting the banter get too heated,” one insider revealed.

“They try not to talk X Factor unless they really have to. It might be what they’re known for right now but it’s not the biggest thing in their lives.

“They’d much rather talk about the new baby and her siblings than work.”

Simon Cowell, their close friend, brought them in as judges alongside One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, 26.

Robbie and Ayda, 39, already parents to Teddy, six, and Charlie, three, announced the birth of their third child Colette ‘Coco’, earlier this month.

This week, they jetted back to LA to introduce her to a group of friends at a lavish bash in Beverly Hills.

Coco was born via surrogate and Robbie says she is “the most chilled baby in the world”.

Meanwhile Nile Rodgers almost never made it to Ibiza for judges’ houses when he was told his guitar, the world’s most expensive, had to travel in the hold.
