Piers Morgan launches his most scathing attack ever on Brand Beckham and says David is the 'last person who should get a knighthood'

And Piers Morgan has launched his most scathing attack on old foe "Brand Beckham" in an exclusive chat with The Sun Online.

The Good Morning Britain host, 53, has been vocal in his dislike of retired footie ace David, 43, slamming him for reasons as varied as his leaked expletive-filled emails about the knighthood he's not yet received to his attempts to avoid a speeding fine.

Piers claims the family's recent Vogue shoot even made him physically sick.

He said: "The pictures made me vomit. It's like, really? Is there no limit here? Making their kids prance about with water pistols.

"They're constantly ramming them down our throats to prop up ever dwindling Brand Beckham. I just don't buy it.

"He won't even pay his speeding fines. He's trying to get off that on a technicality. We know from his emails he's the last person who should get one [knighthood]."

'VICTORIA'S CLOWN ACT NEEDS TO STOP'

Columnist Samantha Brick calls on Victoria Beckham to stop being so tragic

The journalist hasn't always held the Beckhams in such contempt, admitting he was once reasonably pally with Victoria, 44.

"I always got on quite well with Victoria Beckham. I've only met David once and got on quite well with him. I just find them annoying, and they find me annoying.

"It's a mutual annoyance level. I don't hate them, I don't particularly like them, and the way they put those kids out and make money off them for Brand Beckham I find vomit-making. That Vogue thing was utterly cringeworthy."

The Sun Online has contacted representatives for the Beckhams for comment.

Since joining the GMB ranks in November 2015 Piers has regularly made headlines thanks to fiery encounters and his straight-talking style.

Hollywood actor Ewan McGregor, 47, famously pulled out of a scheduled appearance on the show at the last minute over comments Piers made about last year's Women's March.

Having previously had a pleasant relationship with the actor, the snub left Piers furious and it's still a topic that ignites the fire in him.

"Ewan McGregor annoyed me because I used to get on fine with him.

"Out of the blue, sitting in the green room, he pretended he didn't know I did the show. Complete bulls**t. And then left and did a virtue signalling tweet about my comments on the Women's March. He couldn't possibly share a sofa with me. I was like f*** off. Who the f*** do you think you are?

"Other things have happened to him in the last year which suggest he should perhaps keep quiet about women's rights for a while."

The Trainspotting star split from his wife of 22 years, Eve Mavrakis, after striking up a relationship with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, 33, on the set of Fargo.

But McGregor isn't the only superstar to avoid Piers.

He revealed old enemies like Hugh Grant and Madonna will never appear opposite him, something he says would be "fun", before adding that he "doesn't really care".

Almost as famous for his Twitter feed as his presenting, Piers comes under fire for his opinions on a daily basis.

But rather than be upset by abusive comments, he insists he couldn't care less about it.

Describing himself as the country's "bull***t barometer" he believes most people agree with him – they're just not brave enough to admit it in public.

Piers recently clashed with Cosmo UK editor Farrah Storr over her decision to put plus-sized model Tess Holliday on the cover.

While the pair will never see eye to eye on the matter, Piers praised her for appearing on the show.

"She was good. She defended herself well and after it was perfectly civilised.

"I'm always polite to people when they come on the set, and I always shake their hands afterwards if they want to shake it.

"Some people think they get too rough a time, but I just feel the mood and think what would viewers at home want us to do. Most of the time I think I reflect what the viewers are thinking."

Love him or hate him, GMB viewers will have plenty more of Piers to debate after the star revealed he's signed a contract extension taking him to the end of 2019.

But asked if he'll still be on the show when it returns to ITV's Southbank home from White City once renovation work is complete in an estimated five years' time, he said: "Five years? Let's not be too hasty [laughs]. Let's take every year as it comes."

Piers returns to ITV at 9pm tomorrow for a Serial Killer special.
