Penny Lancaster jokes she ‘cheated’ on Rod Stewart with England Euros betrayal

Penny Lancaster made a confession on Loose Women this morning, about where she spent the night last night.

Host Kaye Adams asked Penny: "I hear you were cheating on Rod!"

Still wearing England kit, blonde beauty Penny joked: "I did cheat on Rod… sorry darling."

She added: "When I told you I didn't want to be at home watching the football with all the boys because I knew you'd be sporting Scotland and would rather England lose…"

Penny paused for added drama: "I stayed at an apartment last night and secretly got my shirt on and cheered on the boys."

"How amazing was that?"

Kaye couldn't believe her ears: "You were sitting in an apartment on your own going crazy for England, while Rod was sitting at home supporting Scotland. Well, they're not even playing but like not supporting England."

She confessed awkwardly: "I haven't seen him yet."

Hopefully Rod won't mind.

Kaye asked "How are the boys with the Scotland thing as they were born in England?"

Penny explained: “Rod’s father had his own football team that Rod played on.”

“Rod’s even written a song about his father and their love of football called ‘Touchline’ and how his father used to stand on the touchline in the pouring rain and watch Roddy and his brothers play football”

She added: “He’s passed that love for football and Scotland down.”

She added: “I remember when I first met Rod, there was England versus Scotland game and I wore a kilt and then and England shirt.”

“Brave, very brave!” added Scottish Kaye.

Penny looked stunning draping an England shirt over her outfit, as well as wearing a headband.

She also shared a snap on Instagram of her in an England shirt, saying she’s a secret fan.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
