Reuben Owen took a break from Ravenseat on Thursday evening to join Helen Skelton and Jules Hudson at Cannon Hall Farm for the final Winter on the Farm of the series. The Channel 5 star, best known for joining mum Amanda and dad Clive on Our Yorkshire Farm, lent a helping hand to one guest in need of a new shed for the finale but also opened up on what life is like back at the Yorkshire farm in recent weeks given Storm Arwen and Storm Barra’s impact on the country.

And judging by Reuben’s quotes, it sounds like Ravenseat hasn’t managed to escape the clutches of the perilous weather conditions – resulting in some “rough” times.

After watching the pre-recorded segment of Reuben helping out a Winter on the Farm guest, host Jules said: “Well done, mate. Great work.

“But Ravenseat, you must see some fair-weather up there?” Jules asked.

Reuben candidly admitted: “Yeah, we’ve had quite a bad time for weather at the moment.

“(We’ve) been hit a lot of snow and ice,” he continued before revealing how it’s impacted the Owen family.

“So it’s been quite rough for the past few weeks up there,” he added.

“Yeah, I bet,” Jules weighed before Helen quickly brought up a unique way Reuben has been trying to combat the conditions.

The Countryfile contributor weighed in: “But you are the kind of man who sees a problem and finds a solution…

“And you’ve had quite an alternative method of transport recently,” she prompted.

Reuben then revealed: “Yeah, recently I got myself a snowmobile so…”

As soon as Reuben mentioned the vehicle, a clip of him in action shooting across snowy fields played out on-screen.

“We’ve got some shots of it there,” Jules said as he chuckled at the images while a surprised Helen asked: “Where did you get a snowmobile from?”

Reuben came clean: “I bought it off my friend who brought it back from Antarctica.”

“Antarctica?” a gobsmacked Jules asked as Reuben replied: “Yeah, just ended up with it in the end.”

Spotting the chance to tease the Our Yorkshire Farm star, Helen commented: “Reuben, if you didn’t have a girlfriend before that, you will do now.

“That is cool,” she added as a rather embarrassed Reuben chuckled away.

Sadly for Winter on the Farm fans, Thursday marked the end of the current run on Channel 5.

However, Helen and Jules did have some positive news before closing off the show as they revealed when they’d be back.

Fans will be transported back to Cannon Hall Farm on December 23 for a festive special.

Christmas on the Farm airs at 9pm on December 23 on Channel 5.
Our Yorkshire Farm is available to stream on My5 now.
