Noel Edmonds had a stalker who believed they were having an affair – and he went on This Morning to plead with her to stop

The nightmare eventually got so bad that Noel, who has received death threats and even an intruder in his home, went on This Morning and spoke directly to his harasser.

Speaking to the daytime show's stand-in hosts Ben Shephard and Ruth Langsford in 2016, the 69-year-old explained: "She sends me emails of an intimate nature.

"It then became quite serious when she was accusing me of having an affair with her and she wanted to go to the media and the public and out our relationship.”

And although the stalker claims to be female, Noel added: "My professional advisers believe it’s probably male."

The jungle star went on to explain that he worries for his make-up artist wife Liz Davies.

He said: “I feel threatened in terms of pain that it’s causing Liz and the upset every time I open emails.

"I don’t like the idea that someone is going to take this further."

Then, dramatically addressing the stalker directly, he begged: "If you are watching now, please stop.

"This is only going to end very unpleasantly for you because I will have to go to the police."
