Noah Centineo Stalked Fans, Followed Through Airport

Noah Centineo has been acting for several years now, but he really blew up in Hollywood thanks to his roles in the Netflix rom-coms To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and Sierra Burgess Is a Loser. The 22-year-old cutie is one of the most sought-after young stars of the moment (his 12+ million Instagram followers prove it!!), which means he has pretty hardcore fans, some that more dedicated than others.

Noah recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and recalled a pretty scary experience he had with a group of fans that actually tracked his flight, waited for him at the airport and then proceeded to follow him when he left.

“I went to New York for work and I was at baggage claim and I had my headphones on and I was waiting for my bag to come out,” he tells host Jimmy Kimmel. “I feel a presence approach me and without even knowing, I had to side step and take my headphones off and there’s, like, four people looking at me. I was like, ‘Hi,’ and they were like, ‘Hey! Hi! How was your flight?’ I said, ‘It was good. How was yours?’ And they were like, ‘No, no, we didn’t fly. We were here for you.’”

So, how did the fans find him? According to the Fosters star, they somehow figured out he was flying into JFK airport in New York City and tracked his flight so they could meet when he landed. But the story doesn’t end there!

“They parked in the same place where the driver parks,” he continues. “They walked us to the car, and then they followed the car to the city.”

While Noah is flattered that people like his movies and want to meet him, he says the experience was “actually kind of scary.”

“It was the first time you look at something and you think, ‘Oh wow, my life is changing,’” he explains.

Things eventually got even CREEPIER because the same group of fans, plus one additional person, tracked him again the next time he flew to NYC and were waiting at the same airport when he landed.

Fortunately, NC and the fans “talked it out” and they were able to come to a mutual agreement that stalking is not cool.

“I said, ‘Look, I love your love. I love the fact that you care about me…Just don’t follow me. The rest is cool — just don’t follow me.’”

We totally understand being obsessed with Noah (who ISN’T, honestly??), but it’s important to remember that he’s a person, too! Being followed to airports, through cities, etc., would definitely make us feel creeped out, so we can totally understand where he’s coming from here.
