Who is Emmerdale actor Nick Miles married to?

Emmerdale star Nick Miles is married to Stephanie Lumb, who he has been with for at least 16 years.

Very little is known about Stephanie and how the couple met as they prefer to keep their personal lives out of the spotlight.

But Nick did make their engagement very public as the 59-year-old announced it to the world during the 2006 National TV Awards.

He simply said: “I’m getting wed – It’s very exciting.”

A source told The People at the time: “Nick’s over the moon.

“He’s been smiling all week and couldn’t wait to break the news.”

Nick and Stephanie have been residing together in West Witton, within in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, for more than a decade.

It is believed that neither of them has children, either together or from previous relationships.

But last year, they did welcome a new addition to the family, in the shape of an adorable border terrier puppy called Dora.

They already shared their home with a West Highland terrier whose name isn’t known.

While the husband and wife duo tend to not talk about one another to the public, he did share a snapshot of what they got up to during the pandemic.

Stephanie had painted Nick’s miles, with him posting a picture of her handy-work, stating: “Wife’s boredom levels have gone through the roof”.

For the past few months, Nick’s character Jimmy has had to support his traumatised wife Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler).

She was viciously attacked by a group of girls and while Naomi Walters (Karene Peter) was there, she didn’t do anything, unbeknown to Nicola.

They went to court and as the girls responsible were sent to prison, luckily, Naomi was found guilty of a far lesser crime so was able to avoid a jail sentence.

Nicola is still struggling from the ordeal but with Jimmy by her side, she is bound to recover in time.

Emmerdale usually airs four nights a week on ITV at 7.30pm but this won’t be the case for a little while.

As the World Cup has started, the drama won’t be airing on Mondays or Fridays, with an hour-long instalment on the other three days.

ITV will also be releasing the week’s worth of episodes every Monday morning on its streaming platform ITVX.

Emmerdale is available to watch on ITV and ITVX.
