New lesbian Batwoman Ruby Rose snogs Christina Ricci in raunchy movie sex scene

Ruby Rose has been famed for playing hard-edged women in her film and TV roles, such as Stella Carlin in Orange is the New Black and mean-spirited bandleader Calamity in Pitch Perfect 3.

But one of her edgiest roles seems to have been in her first film, Around the Block, scenes from which have been unearthed as it was announced that Ruby would play the first lesbian Batwoman on screen.

The Australian film from 2013, starring Christina Ricci, sees the two women engage in a very raunchy sex scene after meeting in a dive bar in Redfern, a suburb of Sydney.

The film follows Christina’s character, Dino Chalmers, a teacher who tries to get close to a young Aboriginal Australian boy amid the tense times surrounding the 2004 Redfern riots, which were sparked by the death of a teenager which some believed was caused by police in the area.

But throughout the film, Christina struggles to get close to the youths as she tries to connect with them through Shakespeare’s Hamlet, and one night finds herself going into Redfern to try and help her young students, but stops in a bar to relieve some stress.

And boy, does she relieve that stress.

This is where Dino and Ruby’s character, Hannah, meet, as they have a very short conversation about where they are both from.

The next moment, Hannah is seen removing her jacket and kissing Dino’s neck from behind, before they are kissing in an animalistic fashion, before Hannah pushes Dino up against a wall.

Dino removes Hannah’s top before Hannah returns the favour, leaving Ruby’s character completely topless as they pair move towards a bed, still kissing passionately.

Hannah then starts to move down Dino’s body before the camera quickly cuts to seeing them both in the bedroom much later on in their tryst, where they are parting from each other’s company.

The unearthing of these clips come as Ruby was announced to play the first ever lesbian Batwoman, aka Kate Kane, to be seen on screen.

The character has, in more recent version of the comic books, had lesbian relationships, though traditionally the roles of Batwoman and Batgirl were created to give Batman and Robin love interests, to potentially help widen the readership of the works.

Ruby’s Batwoman is set to appear in The CW’s annual crossover event, which sees characters from the TV Arrowverse shows (Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl) crossover to save the world.
