Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) is given reason to be worried in Emmerdale next week, when she discovers that Noah (Jack Downham) has a crush on Sarah Sugden’s (Katie Hill) mate Chloe.

Sarah, as viewers know, has been meeting up with Chloe – the sister of her heart donor – after she successfully tracked down on the internet.

Noah, meanwhile, was worried about her getting in too deep, given that she doesn’t know anything about Chloe. However, his opinion on the newcomer changes in upcoming scenes, as it’s clear he’s got a crush on her.

He proceeds to blackmail Sarah, promising to spill all about her secret meetings with Chloe unless she allows him to accompany her each and every time she meets up with her new pal.

Charity, however, gets wind of everything.

The way in which she does so remains to be seen, but this clip – taken from next Wednesday’s (September 28) edition of the ITV soap – sees the legend grilling Sarah on all-things Chloe.

‘Sarah, this girl could be anyone!’, she says, but Sarah is adamant that Chloe is the person she was looking for.

The conversation soon shifts to Noah and his crush on Chloe.

Charity reckons the whole thing sounds relatively harmless, that is until Sarah explains that he’s been blackmailing her!

‘He blackmailed me,’ adds Sarah. ‘[He] said he’d blow my secret unless I carried on seeing her with him.

‘He made me invite her round and everything. He’s obsessed. It’s gross.’

Charity is evidently taken aback by her granddaughter’s revelation.

Will she confront Noah? And if so, what will she have to say?

Emmerdale airs these scenes Wednesday September 28 at 7pm on ITV.
