Netflix fans so 'freaked out' by The Ted Bundy Tapes that they can't finish watching terrifying show

The telly giant unveiled the doc, which features hours of previously unheard footage of the serial killer, on the 30th anniversary of his execution – warning: "Don't watch it alone."

Bundy confessed to killing 36 women and young girls in America in the 1970s, with the film using Death Row tapes, interviews and old footage to tell the chilling story.

But while many true crime fans were delighted with the show – whose full title is Conversations With A Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes – others have been left a gibbering wreck.

One tweeted: "Idk I don’t think I can finish the Ted Bundy tapes ? ?."

Another wrote: "These Ted Bundy tapes are f***ing wild and I'm definitely having nightmares tonight."

A third posted: "That Ted Bundy documentary has actually freaked me the f*** out."

Some viewers have even been left so shaken by it that the terror has spilled over into their day-to-day life.

One tweeted: "I scared tf outta myself just now, i forgot i put toast in the toaster & freaked out from this ted bundy show & that s*** popped up & scared the f*** outta me ?."

Another posted: "My god the Ted Bundy tapes are F***ing terrifying! He was a complete & utter sociopath & to hear him talk about it all is bizarre."

Bundy, who died in the electric chair in Florida in 1989 aged 42, confessed to killing the women in the 1970s.

His execution was celebrated by hundreds of people who chanted "burn, Bundy, burn" outside his death chamber.

The sex-crazed psychopath – who would often abuse the dead bodies of his victims – spent the night before his execution crying and praying.

He also spent time with FBI agent Bill Hagmaier mapping out his murders state-by-state.
