One of our favorite things about Netflix original movies and TV shows is the super-cute relationships the actors have with one another on screen. But seeing as these stars work super long hours with each other on set, some of these relationships are real even when the cameras stop rolling. In fact, a lot of the actor have even become best friends just because of the streaming service. Whether it is hanging out at baseball games together or hitting the gym, these celebs do things that you do with your besties, but they chill time is just seen by millions of people.
What’s even more adorbs is that fact that the stars aren’t shy about showing their affection for each other. They constantly take to social media to support each other and we adore every minute of it! Here are 15 of the cutest friendships that came out of Netflix originals:
Lana Condor and Noah Centineo
We are swooning over the friendship between Lana Condor and Noah Centineo from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. Their pics on Insta are super cute and while we know they’re not actually a couple, we simply can’t help but ship ’em IRL. Come on — that unscripted pic of them napping together was beyond adorbs!!
Noah says he and Lana are like “brother and sister” in real life and Lana explains that the chemistry they have is almost unprecedented. Goals!
Noah Schnapp and Millie Bobby Brown
These two cuties met on the set of Stranger Things. Since then, it seems like they are always posting pics of each other on Insta. They attend a whole bunch of events together and even take part in Internet trends like the “In My Feelings” challenge. Millie Bobby Brown also refers to Noah Schnapp as her best friend and her “person” on the reg. We can’t wait to see what this new season of Stranger Things has in store for both of their characters and what the coming months do to the strength of their friendship.
Gaten Matarazzo and Joe Keery
A 10-year age difference won’t stop these two! Gaten Matarazzo and Joe Keery seem to have a real brotherly bond. According to Joe’s Twitter, the pair hung out a lot while filming Season 2 of Stranger Things. This included going out to eat together and chowing down on the same cereal! They definitely seem like real buddies both on and off screen.
Alisha Boe and Brandon Flynn
We are pretty sure the friendship is real when jumping out of a plane together is involved. That’s right; Alisha Boe and Brandon Flynn of 13 Reasons Why are super tight in real life. In addition to acting together on 13RW, they also starred in the short film Binge, which we’re sure also helped strengthen their bond.
David Harbour and Joe Keery
Again, it seems like age doesn’t affect the chemistry between these two actors. David Harbour, the man who plays Jim Hopper on Stranger Things, and Joe obviously love a good cuddle. The 43-year-old actor has also created many posts comparing his younger self to to the 26-year-old actor and the results are pretty funny.
Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery and Charlie Heaton
These three obviously met on the Stranger Things set, as well! Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton were good enough friends that they even started dating IRL! But, it doesn’t look like they make Joe feel like the third wheel, as this threesome is basically always together even when the cameras aren’t rolling. Although they may be involved in a love triangle on the show, everything seems friendly off set.
Ross Butler, Brandon Flynn and Timothy Granaderos
Now this is a trio we can look at for a long time. Ross Butler, Timothy Granderos and Brandon Flynn hit the gym all the time together when they are filming 13RW, and we can totally tell! It is obvious that friends who lift together, stay together. Keep up the good work, boys!
Brandon Flynn and Tommy Dorfman
This totally feels like a friendship that can stand the test of time. Brandon and Tommy Dorfman are supportive of each other; they even attended Pride together with some of their other besties! Although the actors’ characters on 13 Reasons Why aren’t the best of friends, they obviously get along really well off the set.
Tommy Dorfman and Alisha Boe
When it comes to friendship, you can’t get much more serious than matching tattoos. Well, the two stars of 13 Reasons Why are goals because they both got semicolons inked on their skin to commemorate their time spent on the show and Project Semicolon, which is “an American mental health nonprofit organization that primarily functions as an anti-suicide initiative.” Oh, and Selena Gomez joined in on the bonding experience, too.
Justin Prentice and Ross Butler
Apparently, these actors have just as much fun off set as they do on. Ross and Justin Prentice, who plays Bryce on 13 Reasons, hang out with each other quite often. The 28-year-old, who plays Zach Dempsey on the show, also challenged Justin to join in a gym sesh with other members of the cast, which he completed with great success.
Sadie Sink and Millie Bobby Brown
Talk about girl power! Sadie Sink and Millie are not only friendship goals, but also fashion goals. The cuties are besties in real life, even though they’re enemies on Stranger Things. Both Sadie and Caleb are friends in real life, too. The young actors most likely bonded over their characters’ crushes on each other and that super-cute kiss on the Season 2 finale of Stranger Things. In real life, they both hang out all the time and even hit up a baseball game together in July.
Joel Courtney, Joey King and Jacob Elordi
These three met on the set of the hit Netflix movie The Kissing Booth, and have been tight ever since. Joel Courtney, Joey King and Jacob Elordi may all butt heads in the movie, but they get along really well IRL. Joey and Jacob are actually dating, just like their characters, but unlike in the film, Joel is totally cool with it.
Millie Bobby Brown and Gaten Matarazzo
Millie is such a supportive friend. She went to see Gaten’s band, Work In Progress, in concert and snapped this cute pic backstage with her bestie. How cute are they? The two also teamed up to help support a fan when no one showed up to his Stranger Things-themed birthday party. Both actors said they definitely want an invite next time!
Jackie Cruz and Diane Guerrero
Jackie Cruz and Diane Guerrero met while on the set of Orange is the New Black when they played love interests Flaca and Maritza. Even though the couple split on the show, the actresses’ IRL friendship is not fictional! The two are together practically all the time and both of their Instagram accounts have tons of pics to prove it. They are totally real-life besties and we love it!
