Neighbours reveals a big Cassius Grady secret in flashbacks from nine months ago

Neighbours has revealed another one of Cassius Grady’s secrets, which dates back to a previously-unresolved mystery from November last year.

Tuesday’s episode of the Aussie soap (August 14) featured an intriguing flashback scene, showing that Cassius was responsible for rescuing Piper Willis when she was stranded last year.

The truth was shared with viewers after Cassius (Joe Davidson) and Piper’s plans to spend the night together for the first time didn’t work out as they’d hoped.

Just as things were starting to heat up between the new couple, Piper (Mavournee Hazel) freaked out over her surroundings – the Backpackers’ loft where she used to live with her ex-boyfriend Tyler Brennan.

Although Cassius was understanding when Piper wanted to delay things for a while, Neighbours fans were given another helpful reminder that he’s not telling her the full story about his past.

Neighbours‘ flashback scene showed Cassius rescuing Piper from the bush in November 2017.

The storyline in question saw Piper accidentally fall overboard on the Brennans’ boat after Hamish Roche’s ex-girlfriend Louise McLeod set sail on it while she was on board.

Piper later washed up on a beach and collapsed while trying to get back to safety, but an anonymous person – now known to be Cassius – helped her out by rescuing her.

What Cassius was doing in the bush and why he’s never mentioned it remains a closely-guarded secret. However, it does seem to tie in with the previous revelation that Cassius is in Erinsborough for a specific purpose, which nobody knows yet.

Show bosses have confirmed that the full truth about Cassius will be revealed in a dramatic episode next week, airing on Wednesday, August 22.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
