Neighbours hints at another huge lie from Cassius Grady

Neighbours has dropped a big hint that Cassius Grady isn’t a real gardener.

Erinsborough’s mystery man was first introduced when he advertised his gardening skills all around Ramsay Street, but it now seems that it was just a ploy as part of his much bigger ulterior motive.

Cassius (Joe Davidson) may have started out pretty well with his job – mainly thanks to taking off his shirt every two seconds to distract everyone – but things are a lot different now that he’s working for Sonya Rebecchi at the nursery.

Tuesday’s episode saw Sonya (Eve Morey) confide in her husband Toadie about how Cassius has been a flop ever since she employed him, failing to show any knowledge of the basics when it comes to horticulture.

So, was gardening just a way for Cassius to integrate himself amongst the neighbours, or was he secretly doing a Plain Jane Superbrain and looking for something in the backyards?

The latest visit to Ramsay Street also featured some more special flashback scenes showing that Cassius was the mystery individual who brought baby Gabe back after he was kidnapped by Louise McLeod at Christmas.

This confirmation adds another layer of mystery to Cassius’s storyline, as he seems to have been a secret presence in the lives of the local residents for some time.

From lurking at the Guy Fawkes Gala, to underlining books, and even saving Piper from bushland, Cassius has certainly been busy.

Fortunately, all will be revealed tomorrow when Neighbours finally tells us the full story of what he’s up to following the surprise arrival of his mother. Phew!

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
