Michelle Keegan wears retro miniskirt and knee high socks on the set of new TV show Brassic

The Our Girl star was joined by This Is England’s Joe Gilgun and Damien Maloney, who plays her character’s on-screen boyfriend, on the set.

Michelle plays a doting mum in the new series which will air later this year.

The 31-year-old looked happy and relaxed as she ran around the set with her on-screen son and beamed as she talk to her co-stars.

Brassic follows the story of Vinnie, played by Gilgun, who suffers from bipolar disorder and his best pal Dylan, Ripper Street star Maloney.

But while the show does touch on deep issues, comedy is at its core, with the  creators describing it as “a group of working-class friends finding unconventional ways to win at life in northern suburbia.”

Michelle plays Dylan’s girlfriend, Erin, a doting mum to their son Tyler who thinks she’s got the perfect family unit.

But their romance threatens being torn apart, as Dylan is forced to decide between Erin or his unruly mates.

Will he stay in Lancashire and never leave his pals behind?

Or will he do the right thing and leave with Michelle and Tyler?

Speaking about the drama, Gilgun said: “I’m truly humbled by the opportunity. We’ve got an amazing team of creators and watching it all take form has been very moving.

“Bipolar is a big part of my life. We want to show that you can have mental health issues and in some cases live a productive, exciting life, full of adventure.

“Our writer Danny Brocklehurst and my friend David Quayle have been invaluable in taking this journey with me. Embrace who you are, decide what to be and go be it.”
