Megan Barton Hanson says Towie girlfriend Demi Sims is ‘beautiful’ and reveals they are ‘dating other people’ too – The Sun

MEGAN Barton Hanson has spoken for the first time about her blossoming relationship with TOWIE star Demi Sims.

The former Love Island bombshell, 25, told SunOnline she has “chemistry” with Demi – but revealed they are still dating other people.

They went public with their romance two weeks ago at the ITV summer party after meeting while filming Celebs Go Dating.

Megan told SunOnline: “She's a gorgeous girl and we have a flirt but we are dating other people so you will just have to wait and see.

“She is beautiful and there is some chemistry.

“Demi only joined a few weeks ago so it is very new. It is nice to have someone I can relate to. Demi is in a similar position to me.”

News of their budding relationship emerged after Megan exclusively revealed to SunOnline last month that she is bisexual.

She has now opened up about how she finds it more difficult dating girls because she gets “nervous”.

Megan said: “I went in wanting to meet more women than men but then I found it hard as I was a lot more nervous around girls.

“Around men I feel like I have the upper hand and I know what I am doing.

“But around girls I'm a lot more nervous. I'm not the most confident person anyway but then to have a camera crew follow you around with girls shows a much more vulnerable side.”

Megan was branded a “man-eater” after having sex with two coupled-up blokes in the Love Island villa last year – even wearing one's jumper while doing the deed with the other.

But one year after bedding Eyal Booker, coupling up with Alex Miller and eventually Wes Nelson, Megan revealed she wanted to hook up with a woman during the show.

She previously told SunOnline: "I just felt like I needed to get with a guy because society said so but after the s*** I've been through, I just want to see how it goes with a woman.”

Megan originally auditioned for Love Island in 2017, one year before finally being accepted, but she blames admitting she fancied girls in the first audition for seeing her rejected.

She said: "I was super open and said I feel like I’m more into girls, but I think that's what put them off."

When she auditioned for the second time Megan came clean about her stripper past – but this time kept schtum about fancying girls.

"In Love Island I already felt I had a stigma attached to me because of being a stripper," she explained.

"I didn't want to like add to it by revealing I like girls as well!

"But now I feel like everyone has accepted that and to be honest, I don't care what people think.”

Megan was initially unsure about filming Celebs Go Dating after being mercilessly trolled during her time in the villa.

“I got such a huge backlash from Love Island. I was bombarded with trolls,” Megan said.

“It was really, really negative and I think I was scared to put myself back out there to be judged.

“I think Celebs Go Dating is a lot more real. It feels a lot more natural.”
