Matt Hancock ‘set for Strictly Come Dancing’ next as I’m A Celeb stint nears end

Former MP Matt Hancock could set his sights on BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing if he's able to keep himself relevant after his controversial I'm A Celebrity…. Get Me Out Of Here stint.

PR expert Mayah Riaz believe Matt could have his try at the Glitterball trophy in next year's series of the show thanks to his newfound 'celebrity' status.

She told OK!: "I can see him hosting a political TV show. He could perhaps even go into Strictly Come Dancing next year, if he is able to keep himself relevant.

"I’m A Celebrity has already made him a celebrity. The show will give him a whole new direction, away from politics. His career in politics was flagging, so this has given him a boost in a different direction. I don’t think he is entirely prepared for how his career can change", Mayah confirmed.

Matt's decision to go on I'm A Celeb was met with tons of criticism from the general public and his fellow MPs, including the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

When asked about Matt's choice to go on the show, Rishi said he was "disappointed".

However, since Matt joined the reality show, the public have somewhat warmed to the disgraced health secretary. Matt is currently in with the chance to with the crown of the jungle as part of the final four.

On Saturday, fans saw him take on the show's iconic Bushtucker Trail, the Celebrity Cyclone.

It remains to be seen whether he'll make it to Sunday's final.

Before joining the show, Matt vowed to use the platform to raise awareness about dyslexia, which he was diagnosed with when he was 18.

Mayah thinks it would be wise for Matt to "align" himself with a dyslexia foundation after his ITV gig.

"He already has a book coming out soon, after the promotion of that, he could align himself with British Dyslexia Association or Dyslexia Foundation", she revealed.
