MAFS’ Shona breaks silence as she slams Brad’s ‘inexcusable behaviour’ on show

Married At First Sight star Shona Manderson finally broke her silence on the constant comment and worry surrounding hers and Brad Skelly's relationship playing out on-screen, as many fans have accused the latter of being "controlling" and the experts shared that view during the latest commitment ceremony too.

The reality star told her Instagram followers in a statement that Bradley's behaviour was "inexcusable" during the show, but it had taken her time to "reflect" on the highs and lows in their relationship.

It was also reported that the Brad ended up being kicked off the show by producers as they realised the relationship between him and Shona had become unhealthy.

"I will start one of my last lengthy posts by saying that there were many major highs in our time together which haven’t been shown in the edit but I will also be honest in saying most of Bradley's inexcusable behaviour happened off camera," the star shared. "In moments like these I wasn’t honest about it and tried to see the good.

"I’m not sharing this to add fuel to the fire but this is my story, parts of it are out there for everyone to see and I want to share what I choose to share on here both sensitively and respectfully," the reality TV star continued.

"My lesson is I put my hope for the relationship to work and how Bradley was going to appear to others before me. Now I’m so far removed from the process I can walk away with is the awareness that in protecting someone else for their behaviour, their poor actions and words that are having such an impact on you – you start to lose your light and your sparkle and it’s something I won’t lose again.

"I now feel empowered about that and I can only hope people will learn from watching our time in the experiment unfold. x #mafsuk," the star added.

It comes as Shona finally told Bradley during the latest instalment that she was frustrated with his attitude to their marriage and she couldn't understand why she wasn't enough for him, effectively calling it quits.

As a result, the stunning brunette decided to "detach herself now" from their difficult relationship issues.

The scenes followed as yoga teacher Shona had a frank and honest chat with her pals Peggy and Laura on the show, and it finally seemed to hit home for the star that she deserves an equal partnership.

"There's no crime here and there's no victim," Laura said. "What I'm saying is if you don't call out this behaviour, it will continue."

Having realised she needed to confront her husband, Shona went back to her and Brad's apartment and told him that it had got to the point where she needed to be "vocal and voice her opinion" finally.

"I hate that people are seeing you and I as some kind of controlling [relationship] or…"

"Domination," Brad finished. "No it's not at all," he added, as a pained Shona continued: "But I feel like I'm never going to compare to the universe.

Confirming that the duo had reached a stalemate in the experiment, Brad then clarified: "Nothing's more than the universe to me. Nothing."

Shaking her head in frustration, Shona told her partner that his views on their relationship just "baffle" her head, because she couldn't understand what she was "competing with".

"Emotionally and mentally, maybe we're just way off," Brad considered, as it seemed the pair were finally deciding to call it quits.

"Why can't it be enough?" Shona tried one last time, before saying sadly: "Maybe I'm being emotionally immature.

"I'm just going to detach myself from this now," the star added, as fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, urging Shona to end the relationship and move on without Brad.

As fans continued to be frustrated with Brad's "controlling" behaviour, it was also called out by the experts during the last commitment ceremony.

The latest episode finished with a preview of the next explosive dinner party, and interestingly, Brad was nowhere to be seen, but Shona sat alone with her girl pals at the dining table. Time will tell how the pair ended their relationship.
