Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis) was left taking up residence in Hell once again at the end of season four, which was the first season to be produced by Netflix. The final episode certainly finished with a brutal cliffhanger, as Lucifer and Chloe Decker (Lauren German) separated just after they had began their relationship. With tiny hints being shown for the final season, viewers have gotten into the swing of theorising what is going to come next. One of the most disturbing theories surrounds Chloe, and a struggle with addiction.
The actress who plays Chloe, recently posted a video of herself on set, which gave viewers their first glimpse into the upcoming episodes.
The video featured Chloe at a poker table with a drink in hand, and viewers have taken this quite literally to mean she may develop a gambling addiction.
Reddit user DjonyBoy recently put together a theory on what could be coming up next on the show, and involved this important detail.
The fan wrote: “Lauren German posted a video where she is at a poker table and apparently was playing. One of my theories is precisely about this.

Lucifer season 5: Will Lucifer and Chloe Decker get married?
“In season five Chloe will have personal problems (gambling and alcohol) due to the departure of Lucifer, and he is watching her already on earth.”
As fans know, Lucifer is more-or-less bound to stay in Hell from now on, so a secret return to Earth would certainly not be received well by Chloe.
They continued: “The reason he is on Earth is because he could be after demons who had fled Hell in large numbers to LA.
“And since everyone he cares about is there he ends up forced to go there again, but without Chloe [knowing].
“Because if she knows she can force him to stay and / or ‘destroy’ the plan to get everyone back to Hell.”
While this is a little bit of an outrageous theory, it certainly does take into account the desperation Chloe will definitely be feeling in the next part of the story.
Chloe’s future is certainly up in the air in the show, and viewers are already worrying about her place in the final episodes.
But could she end up bringing Lucifer back to Earth in an attempt to end their split?

Meanwhile, Lucifer star Tom posted a video of himself on set of season five, where he dropped a cryptic hint about what is to come.
Dressed in his full Lucifer regalia, Tom could be seen using a handheld fan on himself whilst a sound technician worked on his microphone.
He then jovially pointed the device at his colleague whilst giggling.
Tom captioned the post: “The first week on set of #lucifer #luciferseason5 @lucifernetflix was ‘Hot’ in more ways than one.

Fans of the show were ecstatic about his return to form, with one commenting on the video: “So excited!!”
