Lucifer season 4 spoilers: ‘He’s not himself’ Eve will CHANGE Lucifer in an unexpected way

Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis) is best known for his wicked sense of humour and his endless debaucherous adventures.

However things are certainly going to change for him in the fourth season of the show, as he is a little cut up after being ignored by Chloe Decker (Lauren German) after she saw his devil face.

Season four of the Netflix show will introduce Eve (Inbar Lavi) – the original sinner – who will woo Lucifer into her life once again.

And although Lucifer doesn’t stop being evil straight away, a new image released by Entertainment Weekly has shown him “Netflix and chilling” with his new love, Eve.

However this is supposed to illustrate just how not okay Lucifer is in season four, according to showrunner Joe Henderson.

He explained: “That image ties in with something that Lucifer is trying to achieve by not being himself.

“What you could call this is domestic bliss inasmuch as it’s definitely not the worst version, but it might be one of the most boring versions.”

The showrunner knows that fans will instantly notice the huge transition Lucifer has gone through in the time period between seasons three and four.

Joe continued: “What we want our audience to wonder is: Why has Lucifer decided to show this side of himself to Eve?”

However Eve may be attempting to draw out the softer side of the devil in an attempt to kill him.

Fans of the franchise have been dissecting the latest trailer since its release, and have begun pointing out hints people may have missed.

Speaking out on Reddit, one user wrote: “Watching the trailer for the nth time, I just noticed that Eve’s sitting right next to a bowl of green apples the first time she shows up to the club.

“It’s at [50 seconds], and I’m pretty sure it’s before she sees Lucifer (she’s holding an Appletini too).

“Does this mean that someone (like Maze???) brought her back on purpose? WTF??!!”(sic)

As viewers may be aware, Eve was originally tempted by the devil with an apple of Eden in the bible.

Is the show using some sort of cryptic metaphor to demonstrate Eve is attempting to ensnare Lucifer into her own plot?

If so, Eve could certainly be bad news for Lucifer in the fourth season.

And without Chloe around to watch Lucifer’s back, he may be in some big trouble.

But will she return to aid him when he needs it the most?

Lucifer season four arrives on Netflix May 8.
