Former Love Island contestant, Toby Aromolaran, has opened up about his time on the series, saying that it “took a while for people to see” the real him.
Toby, who starred in the seventh series of the ITV dating show, took part in a Reddit Q&A session on Thursday (July 21), where he spoke about how he was portrayed as “malicious” on the series.
During the Q&A session, Toby wanted to clarify that wasn't the case, and in reality, he was just confused and "didn’t know what he was doing".

He said: "I feel for the first half of the season they probably didn't. I was a mess, to be honest. I was a mess, but I don't think I was that big of a mess.
"It looked like I was kind of malicious at the start, bouncing from girl to girl, but I was actually just really confused with what I was doing.
He went on to speak about how it takes him time to open up and that viewers saw a more truthful depiction of him as the series went on.
He explained: "Looking back I was really, really confused. I didn't have a clue what I was doing, but maybe they could have shown that at the start, but towards the end I feel like I was depicted right.
