Love Island's Maura is 'bored' with Curtis and 'would rather be anywhere else' but on a date with him, says body language expert

LOVE Island viewers have been torn over whether Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard are genuine, and now body language expert Judi James has given her expert opinion – and it’s not good for Murtis fans.

On Sunday’s episode the new couple headed out for their first date and despite the Irish babe gushing that it was the “perfect” date, her face was telling a different story.

Since getting together, Maura and Curtis’s relationship has been under speculation that it’s purely a play for the £50k but it appears to be going from strength to strength.

They’re rumoured to have sealed the deal and become one of the first couples to have sex in the villa, and they’ve just enjoyed their first official date together.

But not everyone is convinced their feelings are completely genuine, especially on Maura’s side.

Judi James, one of the U.K’s leading body language experts, has revealed exclusively to The Sun Online that after reading the 28-year-old’s face and body expressions, she thinks Maura is playing a game.

Judi revealed: “Poor Maura! Her facial expression when Curtis announced she’d brought out his ‘wild side’ said it all really, she looked bored and she looked barely bothered to hide it.”

Maura’s new demure and self-confessed ‘soft side’ is a stark contrast to how she behaved on first entering the villa and making a beeline for Tommy Fury.

“As one of the most fun and feisty women on the show, her courtship techniques with alpha Tommy showed her openly flirty and sexual side,” says Judi.

“With Curtis, she made a play by performing a much more demure, girlish side to her body language and although this surrendered self worked, she’s going to have to keep what she told Curtis was her ‘soft’ side going if she stands a chance of winning the show.”

Judi joked that when someone as outspoken, flirty and sassy as Maura “sucks on a straw without bothering to turn it into a sexually-charged performance involving eye contact, you can guess things are going pretty flat for her.”

When Maura entered the villa, Curtis admitted to best mate Tommy that he had actually messaged the beautiful grid girl on Instagram.

Sliding into her DMs and telling her he thought she was ‘stunning’, a source close to the ballroom dancer revealed he was embarrassed when she ignored his compliment.

Although she said she couldn’t remember seeing the message, it was only after Curtis and his then half-girlfriend Amy Hart split that Maura revealed she’d been interested in Curtis all along.

Watching Maura during her date in the orange grove, Judi revealed she actually let her act slip as their time together progressed.

She said: “By part way into the date she wasn’t bothering to try to make it look genuine or congruent by smiling or opening her mouth to produce it.

“She did try to sound smitten but her foot-shuffle under the table suggested a desire to be somewhere a whole lot more fun.

“She might be fond of Curtis but it’s hard to see them as anything like a good fit. Her joke about handling balls fell flat with the rather worthy Curtis and the signs are that she’s either got to play demure to the end of the series now or let her naughty, brave and feisty side out again and risk uncoupling and therefore losing a place in the finale.”
