Since bagging third place during this year's Love Island, model Ella Thomas has catapulted to fame – and found a boyfriend in the process.
And while it's only been a mere three months since the reality star left the famous ITV2 villa, Glasgow-born Ella has admitted that her close relationships with other Islanders have drifted apart.
She explained: "Everyone has just been so busy so we're not as close as we were in the villa, but if I see anyone at events or here and there then we catch up, sometimes."
During her time on the show, Ella was seen forming close friendships with co-stars such as Whitney Adebayo, Jess Harding, and Catherine Agbaje.
While she may not be quite as tight-knit with her gal pals now, one person she did form a lasting connection with is boyfriend Tyrique Hyde – who Ella coupled up with on day one of Love Island, lasting until the final and beyond.
The pair went on quite the journey during their time in the villa, and even revealed straight after that they were looking for a home together.
But for the moment, Ella and Tyrique are making things work between Scotland and England, with the star explaining: "We have seen each other a lot. We've both been so busy so we're just trying to make the time for each other, we need to make that time and make it work.
"Which we have been doing. It's nice when he comes here to Glasgow because it's a little time out as well, it's more relaxed."
It's no wonder that they have faced challenges seeing one another, with both reality stars floored with busy schedules – as Ella has been busy working on her first edit with online retailer PrettyLittleThing.
She became a brand ambassador for the clothing website shortly after leaving the villa, and couldn't be happier to be working in the world of fashion.
"It was such a dream come true for me to work with PLT, I've always shopped there and was constantly doing next day delivery orders before I went into the villa. So it was a no-brainer when I came out," Ella shared of her new venture.
PLT is a popular women's clothing brand, and has become synonymous with Love Island, due to their work with many former islanders. Notably, they took on Molly-Mae Hague after she left the villa, and went on to become the brand's Creative Director in 2021.
As we wonder whether Ella had the deal in mind during her time on the show, she explains: "I've always loved the brand, but when I was in the villa I wasn't really thinking about anything like that. I was just focused on the experience."
