Love Island's Amber Gill may have already won £50k, according to social media

It looks like Love Island’s Amber Gill has already scooped the £50,000, if social media is anything to go by.

Yes, the influencer is well on her way to being crowned queen of the villa as she currently stands as the most popular islander on Twitter.

Data gathered together by the platform BetVictor, shows both Amber and Ovie are the most popular contestants, with 389,165 and 241,178 positive mentions respectively.

But while she might tie with Ovie on the popularity contest, it seems the 21-year-old reigns champion when it comes to winning.

Taking the total amount of islander and couple mentions, and weighting these against net viewer sentiment, the site have revealed Amber and her partner Greg O’Shea are most likely to be this year’s winners.

And on top of this, it’s said the beauty therapist from Newcastle is the most talked about islander with over 1.4 million tweets on her since the show started in June.

We’re not surprised with all that Michael Griffiths drama.

It’s fair to say Amber has been put through the ringer after opening up to the firefighter earlier on in the season.

The pair appeared to hit it off, with the self proclaimed ‘hero’ telling his gal his head would not be turned when she went to Casa Amor.

However, this is exactly what happened, as Michael decided to recouple with newbie Joanna Chimonides.

Amber was left single and saved her pal Anton in the savage recoupling, as she watched her ex crack on with another girl.

Yet, things took a dramatic turn, as they always do in Love Island, as Joanna was booted off the villa in a twist of events.

Michael refused to leave alongside her, forcing the dumped contestant to brand him ‘a snake’.

Realising things were over with Joanna, he then tried to worm his way back in with Amber – but she was already making waves with new bombshell Greg.

In the latest recoupling Amber decided to go with Greg leaving Michael vulnerable and the next contestant to be dumped from the villa.

Now Amber has less than a week to shine with her new man, but does she already have the win in the bag?

Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9pm.
