LOVE Islanders have been warned NOT to have sex onscreen by Ex On the Beach star Jess Impiazzi – who claimed it nearly ruined her Hollywood career.
The former reality star, 31, said that the new set of fresh-faced singles should be "careful" about what they do on TV, as it "never goes away".
Jess, who appeared on the MTV reality show in 2015, spoke about the distress she faced after show bosses aired footage of her drunkenly having sex.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, she said: "They [new Love Islanders] are young when they go in, you’ve got to think long-term, a lot of these shows are a conveyor belt of people.
"There’s a couple that will do well and carry on doing well for a few years but you’ve got to be prepared for when it’s not and you don’t want to ruin anything for your future.
"Even if you are, it will still die down at one point and you’ve got to remember to stay true to yourself."
The Hollywood actress explained that the racy "mistake" still haunts her to this day.
She continued: "I completely regret it, there are things in my life where I would love to take an eraser and wipe away but I can’t.
"I suppose that’s the main message for any youngsters going onto the show.
"I’m 31, I see things very different than when I was 22 on the show – just be really mindful."
"You’ve got to remember that this doesn’t go away, papers don’t go away, articles online are there forever, repeats are there forever – you’ve got to make sure you’re comfortable with that.
"I still get a bit upset about it, you’re 18 and you’re going to act very different from when your 28 and you don’t want to ruin something for the rest of your life."
After years of the scandalous scenes causing huge regret to a number of past contestants – Love Island has taken the decision to air fewer steamy antics under the sheets.
Jess added:I do know that Love Island have stopped airing sex scenes, which is a really positive thing, you do make these mistakes and you don’t see the long-term."
"I didn’t see the long-term, which has actually made the transition for me quite difficult to do what I love now which is my acting.
"I also have to forgive myself for the mistakes I made, if it hadn’t have been shown then I wouldn’t have had that problem in the first place.
"We just need to be careful and remember that these are peoples real lives, these are young people that could potentially be harmed."
Jess' Hollywood career has gone from strength to strength, she landed the lead role in Hollywood movie Override alongside stars Dean Cain, Kimberly Wyatt and Luke Goss.
She’s also starring in movie Death Do Us Apart with Brit actor legend Jason Flemying.
Speaking about her movie success: "I’ve found the passion I’ve had my whole life which I had lost and I have managed to loop back round and find it again which is the nicest feeling.
"You’ve got to have self belief and I lost a lot of that in myself and I think as soon as you believe it, you start living your life authentically."
Meanwhile, the actress opened up about her love life, saying she has finally forgiven her ex husband Denny Solomona for"cheating" on her, and admitted that she's a "changed woman".
She immediately knew it was over after his infidelity was revealed, saying "we knew at the time that it was done".
She said: "I just think everything happens for a reason, if that hadn’t have happened I wouldn’t have been able to do what I had done since then. It pushed me to be like ‘Jess this is your time now’ and you need to remember who you are and what you love.
"I have no animosity towards him as I see it in that way, it was all for a reason.
"I wish him love and luck and everything but it’s just one of those things that happen. I was broken at the time but it made me stronger and made me concentrate on myself.
"I think his purpose was to give me a kick up the butt to remember what I wanted in my life."
Jess, who has been open about her mental health struggles after revealing that she previously wanted to take her own life, admitted that she is feeling better than ever.
She said: "I don’t recognise myself from who I was 10 years ago. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel, at one point I didn’t see that. There always is, I am living proof of that."
Jess has teamed up with Compete app and The Humane Society International for their Fur Free Fashion Challenge.

The TV beauty is calling on Compete app users to share their Fur Free Fashion videos to help raise awareness and funds to prevent animal cruelty in the name of fur.
Jess said: "It’s not only inhumane, it shouldn’t be done, it’s not necessary. I am a vegan myself, so I’m all about saving the animals.
"This campaign was right up my street because it is something I believe in passionately."
