Love Islander Jon Clark brands Anna and Amber ‘bitches’ in brutal takedown

Jon Clark first burst onto the small screen when he appeared in the original Love Island series in 2015.

The happy-go-lucky Essex chap won over viewers with his witty one-liners and jokey nature, and managed to bag second place with then girlfriend Hannah Elizabeth.

The show has come along way from its 2015 beginnings, with the former TOWIE cast member dishing his thoughts in an exclusive chat with Daily Star Online.

Admitting he is “of course” watching the fifth instalment of the popular dating show, he revealed Maura Higgins is “carrying the whole series”.

A stark contrast to the earlier days, Jon blasted this year’s batch of singletons.

“What happened to all the fun?,” he exclaimed.

“In my series it was fun, we all had a laugh. Everyone just pulls each other for a chat – just have some f***ing fun.”

And while Jon backed the Irish ring girl as his favourite, other girls didn’t fare so well.

“Amber and Anna are bitches, man. I get they had their backs up when Yewande was kicked out, but at the end of day it’s Love Island – it’s a game show.”

Jon also mentioned this year’s villa residents are going on it for reasons which doesn’t involved finding love.

“A lot of people are in the for the fame now. It doesn’t flow as natural.

“If they let their hair down and think f**k it and have laugh, they’re probably going to find someone better because they get along with them.

Talking about how the show doesn’t run as smoothly, he said: “When I did it we were left to our own devices to a certain extent, obviously the producers came in every now and then to talk to us.

“I was King in the villa, I would always go into the chat light heartedly – I’d do it in a funny way.

“Now, it’s just so intense. It comes down to the sad, sad things that have happened to some of the Islanders. I don’t think they can be f**ked with as much as we were f**ked with.”

He added: “It’s just got boring. It’s not as good.”

And when it came to dishing up his thoughts on the couples, Jon was quick to slate Amy Hart and Curtis’ union.

“Curtis does not like that bird, no way. When I first saw them, I was like, ‘yeah they’ve secured their place in the final’.

“Now I don’t think so.”
