Love Island fans question show’s editing after spotting odd continuity issue

Love Island viewers claimed to have discovered proof that the show is highly edited after spotting something different about the islanders.

While this week has been packed with drama as usual, with a quadruple dumping, Amy's departure and two new arrivals, fans have been a little distracted by the islanders' altered appearances.

Noticing that the girls look like they have all had fresh manicures and everybody has got their hair done, viewers flocked to Twitter to question when their makeovers took place, and why they weren't aired.

One viewer wrote: "Did anyone else notice Anna had her roots done and the boys had hair cuts #loveisland".

While another similarly noted: "I just want to know how the girls get their hair/nails done. Is there a glam squad that comes to the villa?? Why don’t we get to see that part?? #LoveIsland ".

A third chipped in: "Sidenote: how do everyone’s nails look so fresh? acrylics or gel don’t look like that after 4 weeks. are they getting secret manicures? #loveisland ".

And Corrie actress Georgia May Foote even noticed the transformations, tweeting: So who has redone the girls nails in the villa ey? #loveisland ".

While some have been questioning why they weren't informed about the islanders' pampering, it may well have taken place on their Saturday off filming, which was recently exposed by former winner Kem Centinay.

Season two favourite Cara De La Hoyde also once told Hello magazine that the producers occasionally gave islanders "little treats" in the form of pamper sessions while she was on the show.

“After a couple of weeks in, we had someone to come in and do our nails," she said.

"The boys all got their hair cut because by then Nathan looked like Shaggy from Scooby Doo. They give you little treats. They had a massage the day before the final, too.”

Mirror online has contacted ITV for comment.
