Love Island fans confused by weather as contestants wrap up for winter in coats

Love Island fans were left questioning South Africa's weather tonight as they watched contestants wrap up warm in winter coats.

As the explosive episode came to a close, viewers watched in shock as newcomer Finley and original Islander Sophie appeared visibly cold.

The Islanders gathered around the fire pit for the couple's challenge and Sophie tried to keep warm by wrapping a denim jacket around her legs.

Meanwhile Finley didn't attempt to hide the suspected cold temperatures as he wrapped up warm in a thick designer Moncler jacket.

Eagle eyed fans on social media spotted the obviously cooler weather as they rushed to Twitter to question why the Islanders were wearing coats.

One user questioned: "Is South Africa cold ? I’m confused why am I seeing a Moncler ?"

While another found Finley's choice of jacket hilarious as they shared a cryptic Tweet, writing: "Finley u kno it ain’t cold enough for Moncler. drip."

A third added: "Guys, they’re all wearing coats. Cape Town is cold and windy, it’s ruining it for me."

Another user was quick to notice the weather as they pointed out the contestants are 'always under blankets'.

The Love Island fan wrote: "Is it cold in South Africa? They are always under blankets? Thinking it’s cold and they’re made to wear bikinis haha."

Despite the windy weather and cooler temperatures, the Islanders continued to strip off into tiny bikinis and donned glamorous mini dresses for the evening.

Tonight's episode saw Connor's fuming reaction after Connagh's entry turned Sophie Piper's head, and they ended up coupling up together.

Siannise Fudge admitted tonight that she'd thought there was a strong chance Connagh would choose her, confronting him about his his decision.

The islanders were also put through the ringer tonight as they were grilled about their knowledge of their partner.

The episode then finished with a teaser revealing the new bombshell set to enter the villa on Monday night as Rebecca Gormley.

Rebecca starred in a cheeky teaser clip tonight which saw the new Islander warn the current girls as she insisted that 'nothing' would hold her back in getting what she wants.

She dramatically told cameras: "I'm going into the villa to find a man and there isn't going to be anything that holds me back.

"Watch out girls, I'm coming for your boys."
