Love Island 2021 fans are getting more and more excited and now reports have surfaced that the sun-soaked reality TV show’s cast are already in “quarantine in Spain”.

With only two weeks to go until Laura Whitmore and a fresh batch of gorgeous singles burst onto screens, the countdown is really on until viewers greet their newest obsession.

This year’s participants have already hopped on planes to the mediterranean country and as temperatures continue to heat up the future stars are chilling in quarantine ahead of their debut.

Meanwhile, producers have their work cut out for them as they are said to be making the tough decision of who gets to go in on the first day, and who is kept back to be bombshells.

A source has also said bosses are predicting “the best series yet” after a year off in 2020.

Speaking to The Sun, the source said: “Bosses are finalising who goes into the villa on the launch show right now.

“The cast are already in Spain, quarantining ahead of the first episode.”

Teasing that everyone is “really excited” for what’s to come, there seems to be even more twists planned this year.

“It’s going to be the best series yet as they have some really interesting islanders lined up for the villa,” the insider added.

While the soon-to-be islanders are said to be holing up in their hotel rooms, the Majorcan villa is also reportedly undergoing further tweaks after a major transformation from previous series.

Builders are reportedly on site finishing things off ahead of the launch show at the end of June.

Love Island representatives have not yet commented on the reports.

In terms of who is set to enter the most famous abode, it was reported on Monday that footballer Aaron Connolly’s gorgeous ex-girlfriend Lucinda Strafford is one of the lucky group.

Para-athlete Milly Pickles is also rumoured to have been picked by the casting team.

This year saw ITV receiving “more applications than ever” for their hit dating show.

Speaking to RadioTimes, ITV commissioner Amanda Stavri said: “There's been more applications than ever. They've whittled it down and we're all very pleased.”
