Loose Women viewers ‘cringe’ during ‘ridiculous’ Nicole Kidman interview

Loose Women viewers have been left cringing over a 'ridiculous' interview with Hollywood superstar Nicole Kidman.

Nicole, 53, was a guest on the ITV lunchtime show but due to the coronavirus restrictions the interview was pre-recorded.

The segment showed Loose Women presenters Janet Street-Porter, Nadia Sawalha, Linda Robson and Stacey Solomon each ask the A-list actress a question, which ranged from family life to working with Hugh Grant.

Viewers at home couldn't help but "cringe" during the interview and rushed to their keyboards to discuss the "awkward" chat.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "What a stupid interview that was with Nicole Kidman. Or was it staged?"

Another added: "Sorry but what in the ITV daytime hell was that scripted zoom call with Nicole Kidman?"

A third person said: "Seriously Loose Women that was not an interview in any stretch of the imagination. Nicole Kidman answered three questions that a six year old would ask."

While a fourth posted: "Did anyone else witness the very strange Nicole Kidman interview on Loose Women? I’ve never cringed so much, were they trying to act or?"

"Cracking up at this ridiculous chat between Stacey, Nadia, Janet and Nicole Kidman," said a fifth viewer.

"Oh my god this Nicole Kidman segment is pure cringe," said another Loose Women fan.

Austrialian beauty Nicole, who is married to musician Keith Urban, appeared on the show to promote her new show The Undoing, which also stars English actor Hugh, 60.

Speaking about working with the Notting Hill hunk, Nicole said: "I love Hugh Grant. He is as funny as mischievous and naughty as you expect."

She teased: "I'll have to come on the show to elaborate more."

The mother of four went on to discuss why she won't let her younger children have social media.

"I'm not very techy myself so its very hard for me to monitor it so I won't let them be on Instagram," Nicole said.

"I have a 12 year old who is chomping at the bit to get on it. It's that constant push and pull.

"I would say a lot of parents would say the same thing."

This Morning's Ruth Langsford was in the anchor's seat on Tuesday alongside panellists Janet Street-Porter and Saira Khan, and Brenda Edwards joined in the conversation via a video link from home.
