Little Mix strip naked and reveal they've been branded 'fat' and 'sl*tty' by vile online bullies

The band – made up of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – posed for the picture to promote their new album LM5.

Posing nude, the girls had some of the taunts used against them, including the words “fat”, “ugly” and “sl*tty”, penned on their bodies.

They shared the candid picture on Instagram this evening and told their fans: “Thank you for being part of this incredible journey with us. #LM5 featuring #Strip is coming Friday 16.11.18.”

Alongside the picture, they also wrote some of the lyrics to the track online.

The words to the song include: “Take off all my makeup cos I love what’s under it.

“Rub off all your words don’t give a f**k I’m over it. Jiggle all this weight, yeah you know I love all of this .

“Finally love me naked. Sexiest when I’m confident.”

Released this Friday, the video is co-directed by Little Mix with renowned director and photographer Rankin.

Their idea was to strip the band's look right back and show the beautiful features that they once saw as flaws, inviting real women to do the same and celebrate alongside them.

Speaking about the video, Leigh-Anne explained: “Strip is a really special song from LM5, it’s all about standing proud and we wrote it to encourage and empower people to be who they are. We can't wait to share all these incredible, inspirational women and their stories with you.”

Jade added: “We were lucky enough to have the amazing Rankin bring our vision to life.

“We co-directed this video and we are so incredibly proud of it.”

After winning The X Factor in 2011, the girls have gone on to have phenomenal, world-wide fame.

But their path to stardom hasn’t always been easy.

Jesy explained: “Strip is a turning point.

“We're talking about stuff we've wanted to speak about for ages.

“We've all suffered from body confidence and negative comments, and up until now we didn't really have a song we felt addressed everything we needed to.”

Her bandmate Perrie added: “We just want women to feel equal and incredible. Strip will be all yours on Friday.”
