Lauren Goodger angers fans as she wears real fur coat six years after starring in a PETA advert

The former Towie star once posed nude in a pool of fake blood to support the anti-fur campaigners.

Lauren angered her fans after posting a shot in a new fur coat on Instagram on Thursday, six years after featuring in a PETA advert.

The 32-year-old wrote: "Love my winter coat with belt from @the_lani_look_ ❄️"

But fans instantly hit out at her – with one writing: "Wearing an innocent animals fur, for likes on Instagram."

Another wrote: "Thought you done an advert for @peta so why are you wearing a real fur coat."

A third wrote addressed the ex-TOWIE star saying: "I think it's Ok for you to destruct your own face and body for Instagram, but to do the same to an animal so you can wear its skin and fur is disgusting."

A fourth didn't mind so much and said: "Where is your coat from."

The leather jacket has a fluffy fox fur trim.

It's advertised on the fashion website as "Prinny Our Statement Duck Down Fox Fur Coat."

Lauren wore her controversial coat just days after she launched a £22-a-month ‘hook-ups’ website that offers no strings attached sex, X-rated photos and filthy chat.

Her outfit choice was a dramatic u-turn from her stance in 2012 where she took part in a hard-hitting Peta campaign.

Painted as a snake and lying naked in a pool of fake blood, Lauren bared all for cause.

The slogan on top of her portrait taken by renowned photographer Trevor Leighton read: "Wearing Exotic Skin Kills."

The Sun Online has contacted Peta for comment.
