Kimberley Walsh has ended long-time feud with Girls Aloud bandmate Nadine Coyle after 'time of reflection' in lockdown

KIMBERLEY Walsh has finally ended her bitter seven-year feud with former Girls Aloud band member Nadine Coyle.

The 38-year-old musician has shared a strained relationship with Nadine since the band split in 2013.

Now, Kimberley has admitted how lockdown has brought the two close together again.

When asked if she is still in touch with her bandmates, Kimberley told OK! magazine: "I speak to Cheryl and Nicole [Roberts] all the time anyway, but I have been in touch with Nadine and Sarah [Harding], too.

"Lockdown has been a time for reflection. Nadine and I were chatting the other day and we're going to get the kids together as they haven't met yet."

The singer shares sons Bobby, five, and Cole, three, with husband Justin Scott.

Back in March, Kimberley revealed she had patched things up with long-time nemesis Nadine.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Kimberley said: “I saw Nadine the other day in London and it was so nice to catch up with her. It’s been a while.

“We just bumped into each other at an event. It made me feel nostalgic.”

The band formed on ITV talent show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002 and enjoyed huge success in the Noughties, with 21 Top Ten singles and two No1 albums.

Kimberley went on: “We do have an anniversary coming up but it’s a long way off still. Everybody is busy at the moment but I have a lot of love for all the girls. I’m proud of all of them.

“All the songs feel like a distant memory but if I hear them then I think they’re good. I’m glad I still get to spend time with the girls and see them."

The band took a break in 2009, but returned in 2012 with a comeback tour to mark their tenth anniversary.

However, speaking to The Sun in 2017, Nadine told of the backstabbing and bitching — mainly sparked by her being given more solos than her bandmates — which led to the band’s break-up in 2013.

The 35-year-old said at the time: “It was fine at the start but there’s always politics in any band.

“It just happened that I always got more vocals than everybody else, so in terms of people wanting their voice heard, that wasn’t happening.

“And it made people very bitter. They didn’t like that.”

Kimberly's recent comments comes months after Nadine admitted the band are in talks to reunite for their 20th anniversary in 2022.
