The skint star – who avoided bankruptcy earlier this month – now shops for her family food in the budget supermarket to save money.
A source told Sun Online: “Katie had a budget meeting with her team at the weekend and she found out the true extent of what Kieran had been spending on her credit cards.
“He had a card for Katie’s account for the household spending, and her team were supposed to keep an eye on where he was spending money.
“Katie had been suspicious he was cheating on her for a while, so wanted to track where he went and keep an eye on budgets.
“He was only supposed to spend money at the local Tesco, the country supplies store near the house and the petrol station, but now it looks like Kieran spent way over £500 a week on food supplies.
“He’d been spending in M&S or Waitrose, and then buying even more takeaway food for the family.”
The friend says that Katie left the household chores to Kieran – who she accused of having a fling with a Co-Op worker – and is shocked that she now has to shop somewhere where she gets more for her money.
They explained: “Katie hardly ever did the supermarket shop, so had no idea it would be that much. She's furious.
“Now she’s having to shave at least £200 a month off the bill and sent her team to do the shop in Aldi.”
Both Katie's publicist and Kieran did not respond to a request for comment when contacted by The Sun Online.
Katie has been battling financial issues recently – selling her family pets and horsebox to raise cash to pay back her many debts.
Kieran is now living with his nan and considering selling his wedding ring from Katie.
