KATIE Price has been telling friends she stormed out of rehab due to her "run-down" room and restricted phone access.
The reality star, 40, checked into a residential clinic after getting arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, but lasted only 24 hours before walking out.
Sources now tell The Sun Online that Katie felt "locked up" like a "criminal", and couldn't handle being unable to talk to her family and on/off boyfriend Kris Boyson.
A friend of the star said: "Katie left rehab because they wanted to take her phone off her, but she didn't want to be out of contact with her kids and Kris.
"She refused to hand it over.
"She was telling people it felt like it was prison and she was being treated like a criminal."
The source added that Katie, who was once worth £45million, was far from impressed with the dingy accommodation itself.
They continued: "She also told people that the room she was given was like a run-down budget hotel that smelt like cabbage.
"In Katie's opinion she's got an illness and needs to be treated like that, rather than locked up and treated badly."
Katie's representatives have been contacted for comment.
The former glamour model arrived at the clinic at 6pm on Saturday to battle PTSD and cocaine abuse, but was collected by Kris the following afternoon.

She admitted herself to The Priory as an outpatient last month, shortly after The Sun's exclusive pictures showed her rapping about cocaine during a wild holiday in Spain.
However she decided to check into a residential treatment program this week following her "drink-driving" arrest at Kris' 30th birthday party.
Katie reportedly turned up uninvited to the bash, after being dumped by toyboy Alex Adderson, 25, and going on an all-day bender.
The rehab stints are part of Katie's plan to get her life back on track, amid her bankruptcy battle and divorce from Kieran Hayler.
