BANKRUPT Katie Price is refusing to accept that she will no longer be able to live in her so-called Mucky Mansion.
The 41-year-old, once worth £45 million, faces being booted out of the property as part of a High Court ruling over her finances; a bankruptcy charge was placed on the property on December 3.
However, Katie has told pals that she has ordered her team of accountants to find a way of keeping hold of the property and the “deluded” former Page Three model has even claimed she'll have it back by Christmas.
Last night a pal told The Sun Online: “Katie is refusing to accept that she has to lose the house. She absolutely loves her mansion and has told the people in charge of her bankruptcy to find a way.
“She doesn’t see how or why she should have to leave the place where she and the kids are so happy.
“A lot of her friends are really worried. She’s behaving a bit deluded and is just seemingly refusing to face up to reality."
They continued: "Whenever anyone asks Katie where she will be living in the New Year she just changes the subject, shrugs and says she thinks everything will get sorted out.”
A second source added: "Katie is telling friends she has nowhere else to go – she's got so many pets it's not like she can stay with friends.
"She was staying at Kris's house until they fell out, now she's back in the annex.
"She hasn't had any luck finding somewhere to rent but she is looking."
Katie bought the pile in Horsham, West Sussex, from ex-Cabinet Office Minister Francis Maude in 2014 for £1.3million, and it's value then soared.
The sprawling 1930s pad stands in 12.25 acres and has a swimming pool, tennis courts, stables and paddocks but the house costs £25,000 a year to heat; at one stage Katie employed a £120,000 team of housekeepers.
When the property appeared on Keith Lemon's Through The Keyhole in 2017 it was dubbed the "Mucky Mansion" because the pool was dirty and neglected and the tennis courts overgrown.
Katie had been living with Kris but the pair were involved in a furious showdown after Kris "got sick of being treated like a nanny" by Katie.
The two have been on and off for months but they had a blazing row, leaving Katie calling on friends to get her things back from his house where she was living.
A source close to Katie told The Sun Online: "It’s actually really awkward as on the TV show, which was filmed weeks ago, she’s asking Kris to have a baby, but in real life it’s all fallen apart.
"It’s got so bad that Kris even asked her ex, Kieran how he coped after the split."
