Kate Connor and Rana Nazir’s engagement happiness could be short-lived as the pair look like they are about to some to odds over baby plans.
In scenes airing next week on Coronation Street , Kate plans a surprise proposal for Rana as she finally returns from her cruise with her mum.
But Kate (Faye Brooks) is left gutted when Jenny rings her to tell her that Rana (Bhavna Limbachia) returned early and that her plans for a romantic proposal at the port are no longer possible.
What she doesn’t know, however, is that Rana is on the same page and asks a thrilled Johnny for Kate’s hand in marriage.
When the pair are finally reunited and as sparks fly, both are shocked to discover that the other was planning to propose as they produce ring boxes.
Both of them are ecstatic and quickly say yes to one another, but Kate’s other surprise announcement leaves Rana feeling cold.
On Wednesday, Jenny and Johnny throw the couple an engagement party and Kate reveals that one of the reasons she wants to wed Rana is because she knows that she will make a terrific mum.
Imran notices Rana’s expression and tells his sister that she should say it isn’t what she wants before it’s too late.
Later in the week, Kate continues to think about having a baby with Rana and suggests doing some options.
Kate reveals that she has been to see Dr Gaddas to talk about IVF and the various options they have.
How will Rana react? And could this put a stop to their engagement before it’s even begun?
