If you loved Kanye West’s little confessionals in the Keeping Up With The Kardashians season premiere this weekend, then you’ll probably be thrilled that he’s set to make ‘regular’ appearances on the show.
Kanye, 41, joined his wife Kim Kardashian in the season 16 opener on Sunday, with the episode centered around their visit to his hometown of Chicago and his feud with longtime friend Rhymefest.
After years of trying to dodge the cameras, it seems Kanye’s got a feel for the reality TV life and will be making more appearances in the coming season.
According to the New York Times, the Gold Digger rapper is ‘not just another character coming and going’ like some of the other Kardashian men, such as Scott Disick or Jonathan Cheban.
No, apparently our Kanye is a ‘major force behind it all’.

The publication reports that Kanye is in ‘frequent’ contact with the KUWTK producers via text and offers advice on the imagery and style of the show.
For example, Kanye was responsible for the 1970s sitcom vibe in the opening credits seen in recent seasons, and also had a say in the more neutral tones of season 16, including the new confessionals backdrop.
Speaking of confessionals, Kanye had plenty of them in the season 16 premiere.
During the episode, Kanye sat next to Kim to discuss their trip to Chicago with their eldest daughter North.
During one confessional to the camera, Kanye was seen reprimanding Kim for saying their son Saint is her ‘favourite person’.
However, Kanye said: ‘I don’t think it’s good when like parents feel like, “This is my favorite child”.
Defending herself, Kim explained: ‘I think it changes. I mean it’s reality. I was my mum’s favourite for a good decade and now it’s Kylie Jenner.’
