Joe Swash struggles to do up baby Rex's babygro while Stacey Solomon giggles in cute Instagram video

JOE Swash was fighting a losing battle as he struggled to do up seven-month-old Rex's babygro in a cute video that was posted by Stacey Solomon earlier today.

The 30-year-old star giggled in the background as she documented her 37-year-old partner's difficulty with their son's poppers.

Stacey captioned the Instagram Story post: " Joe trying to get Rex's babygro done up."

In the snippet, the former EastEnders actor tells Rex to roll over, with the cheeky little boy refusing to comply.

Stacey can be heard laughing as Joe continues to try and move their son's body – a challenge that would be all-too-familiar for new parents everywhere.

He then believes that he has completed the job – only to be left disheartened when he notices that there is a popper left over.

Stacey tells her partner: "That's not right", with Joe adding: "I've got to start from the bottom again!"

The entire process begins again, with Stacey cheering when Joe eventually managed to complete the task.

Proud dad Joe then playfully pulls Rex backwards by his legs and tickles his ribs, with his chirpy son giggling with glee at the entire thing.

Earlier this month, Joe spoke candidly about the strain the newborn put on their relationship for Stacey's podcast Here We Go Again.

The TV favourite admitted that he "suffered in silence" and even considered "a little separation" after Stacey banned him from going near their son because he sprayed too much deodorant.

He told her in the chat: "I did resent you.

"But it's weird, because in any other situation, I would have probably gone 'we need to take some time apart, we need to have a little separation' that's how bad it was."

He added: "I think because it's a baby, it makes everything acceptable. There's a real reason behind it.

"If it was just a normal, everyday, this is how we are feeling. Fine, I would have to think about where we were in a relationship. Because we had our baby, our family, it all becomes acceptable."

Joe coped by driving to his mum's house and using the 45 minute car journey to "charge his batteries" and have "me time".

However, the couple admit they are back on track, though Joe joked that she "loves him" 70% of the time, and "hates him" 30% of the time.

Stacey replied: "If I had a baby and my partner didn't want me anywhere near that baby, I would have really of struggled. You were amazing Joe!"
