Jessie J boasts about Channing Tatum romance in message to her younger self – The Sun

JESSIE J has boasted about her romance with Hollywood star Channing Tatum in a message to her younger self.

The Domino singer revealed she would love to go back and advise herself to have more confidence – as she would one day be dating the hunky actor.

Asked about her low self-esteem in her early 20s, and how she would handle it differently now, the 31-year-old revealed: "The first thing that comes to mind is [to tell myself] 'you’re enough'. I'd say, ‘Be yourself and don’t be afraid to say how you feel.’

"I’d also say cut down on the blusher, babes. And take a breath… you’re going to get with Channing Tatum in 10 years, so keep going!"

She also denies the 'tough' exterior she's perceived as having, admitting she's a softie deep down.

In the open letter to Closer magazine, she adds, "I’m an emotional person. People think I’m really tough – I’m an Essex girl, right? I was raised tough. I was sick when I was a kid so I had to fight.

"My passion can sometimes come across quite aggressive – I’ve had that my whole life.

"It’s important that I let people see that side of me, that I am really emotional and actually quite shy."

Jessie – who is a coach on the new series of Voice UK Kids – has been dating the Magic Mike actor since October 2018, six months after he splits from his wife of nine years, model Jenna Dewan.

But she admits she finds she wishes the couple could have a more low-key romance.

"I do not ever take my life for granted – but sometimes I just want to go on a date without someone [security] sitting next to my boyfriend.

"The biggest thing I hate about being famous is when you go to a friend’s party and you help tidy up and they say, 'You don’t have to do that – you’re Jessie J'.

"And when I walk around Sainsbury’s and people go, ‘Why are you here?’ and I’m like, 'I want to buy food! There’s no celebrity supermarket'.”

She recently told Good Morning Britain hosts Kate Garraway and Ben Shepherd that the pair were in no hurry to marry, adding: "We're having a lovely time. And I'm very, very respectful of his situation and his privacy."
