Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s ex suggests he ‘can’t even stay sober for his own kid’ during custody battle – The Sun

JERSEY Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro's ex, Jen Harley, suggested Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s ex claims he ‘can’t even stay sober for his own kid’ in lengthy Instagram post.

The two have been in an on-going custody battle over their daughter with Ronnie pleading to get monitored visitation rights.

Jen took to Instagram to rant about people with addiction and seemingly shaded the father of her daughter.

The businesswoman wrote on Instagram: "I really truly feel sorry for people who have a huge addiction problem!

"When you can't even get it together to stay sober for your own kid! I never understood until I was on the other side dealing with someone with an addiction, you watch them spiral and spiral out of control.

"Their friends just keep becoming the biggest deadbeats and losers, your true friends and family do not even talk to you!

"You have to be with people who does not see the loser in you and then they leach on."

She continued her rant: "When you hang out with homeless people, people who do not have cars, people who live in other people's backyards, don't you see the problem."

Ronnie has previously admitted to having gone to rehab to deal with his alcohol abuse and depression.

He sought help at HeadWaters holistic treatment center in West Palm Beach, Florida, and left a month after admitting himself.

The 34-year-old told Us Weekly: "I think it’s a chronic disease, it’s a progressive disease.

"I’m still struggling. I’m going to struggle for the rest of my life. It’s a monkey that’s on your back and it’s never going to get off."

He also mentioned that his addiction would come in phases and would fall off the wagon. He said: "I would work out, get healthy when we were filming or traveling, and then all of a sudden, you start up again and it’s worse than when you stopped.

"And then you stop and then you start up again and it’s worse than when you stopped. You’re like, 'Wow, I thought I had this under control.' But at the end of the day, it has full control over you."

Jen's message comes just one day after she claimed that Jersey Shore ruined the reality TV star's life.

The Nevada native said: "We have no contact.

"We’re not even allowed to talk to each other as the protection order is still in place."

Because of the pandemic, she said, changing this mandate will have to wait until their next court date, adding that it's "been put off."

Ronnie is currently not allowed from seeing Ariana after he was accused of assaulting Jen.

In February Ronnie's lawyer said in court he was attending domestic violence/batterer classes.

Jenn's lawyer, Lisa Bloom, told The Sun in response: "We are hoping that he takes those classes seriously and eventually gets to the point where monitored visitation with his child is safe."

What's not likely to change is Jenn's negative feelings for the reality show Jersey Shore.

She said: "I wish it was never part of our lives.”

“It completely ruined our family, ruined the person I was in love with.”

Meanwhile, Ronnie said on Instagram last week "never stop fighting" as the restraining order keeps him and his daughter apart.

The Sun reached out to Ronnie's reps for comment, but could not immediately be reached.
