Janet Street Porter appeared to make a sly dig at her Loose Women co-host Charlene White after she cried on the most recent episode of I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
While appearing on the daytime panel show, the Loose Women discussed Charlene's emotional turmoil after spending her first night in the Australian jungle.
Charlene admitted to feeling overwhelmed and missing her home comforts and cried while she slept in her hammock for the first time.
But when talking about Charlene and the subject of feeling guilty for leaving loved ones behind, Janet said the newsreader shouldn't display that much "weakness" so early on in the show.
Talking to the other women on the panel, Janet, 75, said: I just feel, I understand why she cried but to exhibit weakness at this stage of the game, you mustn't exhibit too much weakness."
She also added that her family added that Charlene's children can "watch her on the telly" and "they can see her".
Janet added: "It's not like she's gone somewhere, she's a long way away from them.
Jumping to her defence Brenda Edwards replied: "I think, as she said, she's probably coiled so much up.
Talking about the task Charlene had to do during the first episode, she continued: "I mean I couldn't even stand up there looking 5,000 feet down, so you know all of that and then you got a silent period.
"That's when it all comes out."
