The 27-year-old hunk confirmed he was separated from Jacqueline and did nothing to stop his housemates excitedly talking about him being unattached in the house.
It seems Jacqueline, 25, didn’t tune in to watch her estranged husband in his first night on screen.
She head out for an evening out with pals and shared a sexy picture of herself with the caption: “Living my best life.”
Before he went into the house, Dan said his relationship with Jacqueline was getting back on track following the birth of their second daughter.
However fans couldn’t help but notice he’d taken off his wedding ring as he went into the show.
In tonight’s episode, viewers started speculating about his relationship with Gabby – with many claiming they thought the pair would couple up.
Gabby, 26, and Dan were hit by a huge media storm after her ex Marcel Somerville claimed they had “hooked up” while on holiday.
Both furiously denied his claims but fans spotted them getting friendly with each other in tonight’s episode.
After sitting together on the sofa they moved into the bedroom with their co-stars, where Gabby was quizzed by Rodrigo Alves about their friendship.
He told Gabby: “There is chemistry [between you]” .
She wasn’t impressed and shut down the conversation, insisting nothing would happen between them was Dan was still married.
When he turned to Dan to ask about it, the former Towie star replied: “I am married but we separated,” before walking off with a smile on his fans.
After the exchange, viewers were convinced the pair would start a relationship in the house.
Jacqueline is set to head off on holiday in the next few days to get away from the UK while Dan is on the show.
