Is Avicii: True Stories available to watch online?

Avicci: True Stories is NOT available to legally watch online.

The documentary by Swedish filmmaker Levan Tsikurishvili was first released in 2017.

It was shown in cinemas and also uploaded to streaming service Netflix.

The film has a run time of 1hr 37mins and documents the events leading up to Avicii's last show in Ibiza in 2016.

Avicii: True Stories is not currently available to watch on Netflix.

Netflix licensed the documentary in the UK from December 2016 to December 2017.

Many fans of Avicii have expressed their anger that the film is no longer available to watch.

What is Avicii: True Stories about?

Avicii: True Stories documents the acclaimed DJ's rise to fame and the events leading up to his retirement.

The documentary maker Levan Tsikurishvili had been following Avicci since 2013.

By 2015 he was struggling to cope with his hectic schedule and life in the spotlight.

He suffered from acute pancreatitis due to excessive drinking and had an operation to remove his appendix and gallbladder.

After the operation he describes how he felt like he was "constantly in a haze" after taking opiate-based painkillers.

The film also reveals the pressure he was put under by his management – in one clip he is pushed to give an interview from his hospital bed.

In 2016 on August, 28 Avicii played his last show in Ibiza.

How did Avicii die?

Avicii (Tim Bergling) died on April 20, 2018, in Oman.

The star took his own life at the age of 28.

A statement from his family said: "Our beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions.

His family have now confirmed that the superstar DJ's cause of death was suicide.
