Inside Teen Mom star Bar Smith's birthday featuring expensive gifts and a balloon garland made by daughter Holly, 3

TEEN Mom star Bar Smith celebrated his birthday with an intimate party with his wife Ashley Jones and their daughter Holly.

Ashley, 24, shared photos and videos from the Mario Kart-themed surprise party that she threw for her husband at their home.

In one snap posted to her Instagram Stories, she showed off the new Oculus she gifted the birthday boy.

The clip was originally shared by Bar on his page as he gushed over the virtual reality game joking that he's "off the mat for the next year."

The celebrations continued as the couple posed for a silly pic with their 3 year old daughter donning fake mustaches and paper Mario and Luigi hats from the video game.

She captioned the sweet post: "Party of three is still a party. Happy Birthday @barikismith"

The reality star then showcased more of her decorations from the bash including her attempt at making garland with a bunch of red balloons and a Mario Kart-themed scene setter placed on the sliding glass doors.

The mom of one laughed at her display in the caption, writing: "Clearly I can't do a balloon garland but I wanted to do something special for Bar. Holly and I decided to throw him a Mario party ."

Bar clearly appreciated the gesture as she captured a snap of the 25-year-old sitting on the floor in front of the decorations, admiring his expensive gift.

The Teen Mom 2 star had his shirt off and a paper hat still on his head.

Ashley wrote alongside the photo: "Lol he was at work all day I'm sure he thought I forgot about his birthday"

The TV star went all out for her husband's special day as she also gave a glimpse of more decor, including a tablecloth, streamers, and more balloons, all following the party's theme.

The table had only a few snacks on it as she joked: "He doesn't eat sweets so our treats table looks broke"

The favorite part of the evening for Bar may have been his present, as Ashley recorded him excitingly playing with the game for the first time.

Bar commented on what he could see beneath the headset saying that there was a girl with "pink and black hair playing tennis."

His wife quickly shot back in a jealous tone: "What girl?," before breaking out into laughter.

TROUBLES IN PARADISE

Their interaction was refreshing to see as the newlyweds have recently been open about the struggles within their marriage.

The pair tied the knot prior to appearing on Teen Mom Family Reunion, where Ashley talked about their strained relationship.

She detailed their troubles in a confessional saying: "Right now, my relationship with Bar is just at a space where it need some TLC and if it doesn't get that, it could fall apart."

She voiced her concerns to her co-star Leah Messer admitting that she fears of divorcing in the near future.

"I don't want to be like Kim Kardashian and be like 'I feel like a loser', like, I got married and divorced in 72 f**king hours.

"Not really, I've been married a month, but I don't want to be married and divorced in the same year."

She continued in an interview: "I really want Bar and I to sit down with Coach B because I just want us to work on our communication.

"I don't want to jump to divorce and make it final when I feel like there's still hope."

VALENTINE'S PLANS

The lovebirds seem to be trying to find the spark again as they celebrated Valentine's Day together with dinner, wine and dancing.

Ashley also posted a photo of herself wearing a sexy silk robe and holding heart-shaped balloons while sitting on the edge of the bathtub.

The selfie was uploaded on February 15, though she quickly deleted it right after.
