Inside Strictly's Seann Walsh and Rebecca Humphries' romance before it all went disastrously wrong

The actress, 32, dumped her lover in a scathing Twitter message last night after he was caught kissing his dance partner Katya Jones, 29.

In her message, heartbroken Rebecca, 32, revealed the romance was troubled before Katya even came on the scene – accusing the comic of being "controlling".

She took to Twitter to tell her side of the story days after The Sun On Sunday published shock pictures of Seann, 32, kissing Katya, 29, on a drunken night out in London.

However, there was no hint of trouble in the couple's picture perfect Instagram snaps as they shared pictures from five star breaks from across the globe.

Rebecca documented their loved-up Christmases, their cosy Sunday lunches and their boozy nights out.

One Christmas, the actress videoed Seann sitting on the sofa in a white onesie as he watched TV.

She joked their cat was so freaked out, he'd refused to sit anywhere near the comic.

They enjoyed holidays in exotic destinations including Cambodia and the Maldives and Jamaica – where the couple headed for a New Year break to   ring in 2018 together.

They've also been to on several trips to Italy, including a trip to Capri and the Amalfi coast and a very romantic trip to Venice, where they took a gondola ride together.

Rebecca shared snaps of her romantic moments with Seann, including pictures of Valentine's Day flowers he sent her and Champagne toasts.

She also added plenty of pictures of cuddles with their cat Winston.

They got the pet together while they were dating and Seann was pictured kissing and cuddling his furry feline friend in regular cat updates on Instagram.

However, last night Rebecca dramatically declared she'd left the London flat they shared and she'd taken the cat with her.

The actress dumped her man after The Sun On Sunday published pictures of Seann, 32, kissing Katya, 29, on a drunken night out in London.

Rebecca, 32,  said in her statement: "I am not a victim."

She went on to reveal she has taken the couple's cat Winston with her, writing: "I hope he gets what he wants from this.

"I'm not sorry I took the cat though."

Rebecca , who has been hugely supportive of Seann and Katya throughout the show, admitted she felt “humiliated.

Katya’s husband, Strictly dancer Neil, on the other hand has tried to ignore the scandal by going back to work.

He even posted a naked snap on Instagram today.

Seann and Katya’s grovelling apologies were posted online earlier this week.

Katya said in a statement: “I’m so sorry about any offence or hurt I have caused with my actions.

“I wasn’t thinking and it was a one off mistake after some drinks.

“I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship.”

Seann added: “In light of the story in today's newspaper I would like to offer my sincere apologies for my actions.

“This is no excuse but it was a one-off drunken mistake which I am truly sorry for.”

Earlier today the pair pulled the plug on an appearance on Lorraine Kelly’s ITV breakfast show.

The confused host said Seann and Katya had dropped out and would not be appearing on screen.

And pictures have emerged this morning of both Seann and Katya leaving their homes looking grim-faced.

Rebecca's statement in full

Hello there,

My name is Rebecca Humphries and I am not a victim.

I wasn't sure whether to respond to the events of the past week, but I feel the narrative has missed a couple of crucial elements that I would like to clear up.

It's incredibly good of Sean(n) and Katya to apologise in the media. I have received nothing, other than the support of my family, friends and a host of strangers on the internet who all wanted to make sure I was ok.

What I have also kindly received are many offers to sell my side of the story, but I would prefer for it to be on my own terms.

Those pictures were taken on October 3rd. It was my birthday.

I was at alone at home when Sean [sic] texted me at 10pm saying the two of them were going for one innocent drink.

We spoke and and I told him, not for th efirst time, that his actions over the past three weeks had led me to believe something inappropriate was going on.

He aggressively, and repeatedly, called me a psycho/nuts/mental.

As he has done countless times throughout our relationship when I've questioned his inappropriate, hurtful behaviour.

But – this whole business has served to remind me that I am a strong, capable person who is now free: and no victim.

I have a voice and will use it by saying this to any woman out there who deep down feels worthless and trapped with a man they love.

Believe in yourself and your instincts. It's more than lying. It's controlling.

Tell some very close friends who, if they're anything like my wonderful network, will swoop in and take care of the logistics and of you.

It's important also to recognise that in these situations those who hold power over you are insecure and fragile, and their need for control comes from a place of vulnerability.

I think it certainly does in Sean's [sic] case.

Despite everything, I hope he gets everything he wants from this.

I'm not sorry I took the cat though.

Love, Rebecca
