I'm A Celeb's Harry Redknapp reveals wife Sandra's calls him Mr Pastry because he 'always messes everything up'

The football icon was helping his campmate Fleur East with the washing-up when the board slipped through his fingers and fell down the hill.

Harry, 71, went on to reveal that his wife affectionately calls him Mr Pastry due to his ability to "mess everything up".

Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, the star explained: "Sandra wouldn't be surprised at me dropping the chopping board, she calls me Mr Pastry.

"He is a bloke who used to be on TV and could just mess everything up – he was unbelievable."

Poking fun at himself, he added: "I say if a job's worth doing then keep Harry out of the way."

Speaking about the chopping board, 31-year-old Fleur said: "So I am washing the dishes by the dunny with Hazza. He had one job – all he had to do was hold the different items."

The camera then cut to a clip of Harry accidentally dropping the board, with the star explaining: "The chopping board, I was washing it and it slipped out of my hands and disappeared down the hill. So that was the end of the chopping board."

The next morning, before hosts Declan Donnelly and Holly Willoughby made their way to the camp for the latest elimination, Harry spotted the chopping board at the bottom of the hill.

The former footie manager considered making his way down to retrieve it before ultimately deciding that he would only bother if he survives the eviction.

Joking to Fleur, Harry said: "We will wait and see what happens in a minute.

"If I go out I don't give a s*** about it, I will leave someone else to get it."

Harry is currently the favourite to win this year's series of the ITV reality show, with bookies putting his odds of being crowned King of the Jungle at 4-6.

The star was the second highest-paid campmate to take part this year, pocketing £500,000 for his stint in the jungle.

He has since won over viewers with his dry sense of humour and adoration for his wife of 54 years, Sandra.
