I’m A Celeb’s Emily Atack reveals she was axed from The Inbetweeners reunion

Emily Atack has revealed that she was AXED from The Inbetweeners reunion just one day before they started filming.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star says she was told at the last minute that she was no longer needed for the much-anticipated two-hour episode, which is set to air on Channel 4 on New Year’s Day.

Emily, who played Charlotte ‘Big Jugs’ Hinchcliffe in the hit show, made the shock revelation that she won’t be getting back together with her former co-stars during an appearance on Capital FM .

When asked if she was involved in the show’s 10th anniversary episode, she said: "Unfortunately, I don’t really know what happened there.

"I was booked to do it, was very much looking forward to doing it and then the day before I was told I was no longer needed for it."

She added: "It’s alright these things do happen and I think they just decided to go a different route with it, I don’t know, or it was to do with production timings and things.

"These things do happen and they’re just doing a different route I think and I wish them all the best and I know it’s going to be great and the fans won’t be disappointed."

Emily also revealed how producers delivered the bombshell news to her.

She said: "It was all very professional and it’s just business. It happens all the time.

"You get booked to do something and then something happens, plans change and then sometimes you’re not booked anymore."

Host Rob Howard joked that the news was delivered in an email and Emily didn’t deny it.

Emily joked she wouldn’t be watching the show out of spite, before adding: "Of course I’ll be watching it – because hopefully there’ll be clips of me on there.

"No, I’ll always support them. That programme was an incredible part of my life and always will be."

Will, Simon, Neil and Jay are getting back together for a two-hour special and it’s going to hit screens on New Year’s Day.

That means those who’ve been partying hard with their ‘fwends’ the night before can snuggle up on the sofa and laugh about something other than their own embarrassing New Year’s antics.

The lads – Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, Blake Harrison and James Buckley – are jumping back in Simon’s rubbish yellow Fiat to mark the 10th anniversary of the show.
